Country-Themed Wedding Reception Food And Beverage Options

Posted on

An intimate country-themed wedding reception that is held at a rental hall will allow you and your loved ones to enjoy each other's company at a comfortable pace while sharing a home-cooked meal and refreshing beverages. Use one or more of the following suggestions when choosing a menu, preparing items, and serving them.

Use Homegrown Ingredients

Instead of splurging on expensive ingredients and attempting to recreate some of your favorite dishes, use homegrown ingredients from your vegetable garden or fruit trees to create appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. Sit down and brainstorm for a while before deciding which dishes to make. Looking through a recipe book may inspire you during this process.

Do not go overboard and add items to your menu that will take long amounts of time to make and that require a multitude of ingredients. Instead, choose simpler options that you are well-versed in making. Fresh vegetable and fruit salads, steamed vegetables, and fruit pies are some country-esque food options that will be filling and delicious.

Prepare An Adult And Children's Menu

If adults and children will be attending your wedding and reception, preparing two different menus will ensure that guests will likely be offered food options that they prefer. Plan on cooking steaks, fish fillets, or fried chicken for the adults. Decide upon some kid-friendly options for the children, including hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken fingers.

Attach a copy of the menu to each invitation that is being mailed out to one of your family members and friends. Request that recipients choose the foods that they desire and get in touch with you prior to your wedding day so that you can keep track of what everyone has ordered for their meals.

Request Covered Dishes And Beverages

If you would like to offer a potluck dinner, mainly because you are pressed for time and don't want to be burdened with preparing food and beverages on your own, request that each guest brings a covered dish or beverage to the reception hall. Provide invitees with some of the food and beverage options that you desire. If the rental fee includes furnishings, move two of the tables in the hall so that they are lined up next to each other.

After guests arrive at the reception, ask them to set their dishes or beverages on top of one of the tables. Disposable dinnerware, utensils, and napkins are some additional items that you can ask your guests to donate to the event. For more information, contact your preferred wedding reception venue.
